Gibraltar Bank was founded in 1994 by a visionary banker with the support of prominent South Florida professionals, entrepreneurs, Fortune 500 executives and Wall Street partners. Gibraltar Bank quickly became admired for its founder's vision which is based on a devotion to each client's goals and aspirations, extraordinary personal service and a commitment to offering only the finest financial services. These services include private banking, wealth management, and commercial and residential lending as well as services provided through strategic alliances with prominent firms.

At this early time, Gibraltar's asset size was approximately $40 million. The bank immediately established a presence in Downtown Miami and South Miami, opening both offices in key markets almost simultaneously. Through the Bank's Residential Lending division, loan growth soared. Focusing on aggressive business development and niche marketing, Gibraltar Bank quickly emerged as a leading financial institution in the delivery of services to professionals and executives in the South Florida area.

In March of 1998, the Bank introduced its Wealth Management Division. In the same year, an additional office was opened in the exclusive Ocean Reef Community in Key Largo. Late in 2002, Gibraltar opened its first office in Broward County on prestigious East Las Olas Boulevard. In just over eleven years, Gibraltar Bank has grown in asset size from $40 million to over $1 billion.

In October of 2005, became an affiliate partner of Boston Private Financial Holdings (NASDAQ: BPFH) a wealth management firm that owns twelve independently-operated companies across the US. Gibraltar will maintain its brand and all colleagues, but will pursue expansion of its unique style of banking.

Gibraltar's reputation has been built by a stable group of outstanding professionals, the majority of whom are shareholders, who provide prompt, innovative and effective solutions to the financial needs of the Bank's clients and their families.

Each client relationship is guided by a customized agenda based on that client's specific needs; a Primary Relationship Manager coordinates the agenda and oversees delivery of all of the Bank's services, while negotiating the dynamic environment of change in which their clients and families operate.
